What is your Favorite Color?
What is your favorite color? Is it something found sprinkled throughout your wardrobe? Your home? I can’t help but think that the colors a person is drawn to speaks volumes about their personality. I was wondering what my love for the color orange says about me so I did a little digging just for fun. Here is what I found out…
Red: The color of fire and blood, red is associated with energy, danger, strength, power, determination as well as desire, and love. It’s a very emotionally intense color. It enhances human metabolism, increases respiration rate, and raises blood pressure. Red is a passionate color.
Orange: This color combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. It’s symbolic of strength and endurance. Red represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation. It’s a color packed with energy.
Yellow: The color of sunshine, yellow is associated with joy, happiness, intellect, and energy. It produces a warming effect, arouses cheerfulness, stimulates mental activity, and generates energy. Yellow is a pleasant, cheerful color.
Green: The color of nature, green symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Green suggests stability and endurance and historically has been known to indicate hope. It is a color with healing powers.
Blue: The color of the sky and sea, blue is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith and truth and is considered beneficial to the mind and body. Blue is a calming color.
Purple: This color combines the stability of blue and the energy of red. It is associated with royalty and symbolizes power, nobility, luxury, and ambition. It’s a color associated with wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, mystery, and magic. Interesting fact, almost 75 percent children prefer purple to all the other colors.
White: Associated with light, goodness, innocence and purity, white is considered to be the color of perfection. It symbolizes safety, purity, and cleanliness. White can often represent a successful beginning.
Black: A symbol of power, elegance, formality, death and evil, black is a mysterious color associated with fear and the unknown. It denotes strength and authority and is considered to be a very formal, elegant, and prestigious color.
